Workshop: “Les microscopies électroniques à Metz et à Nancy”
March 22, LEM3 Technopole, Metz, 9:00 AM > 04:30 PM

2nd Workshop « 3D Microtexture analysis »
October 13-15, 2015, Metz
LEM3 « Laboratoire d’Etudes des Microstructures et de Mécanique des Matériaux » – Université de Lorraine – CNRS will host the 2nd workshop on 3D Microtextures in collaboration with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), BlueQuartz Software and the Materials Science & Engineering Dept. at Carnegie Mellon University.
The workshop is intended to provide researchers at all levels with tools and methods for reconstructing, analyzing and synthesizing 3D microstructures. A particular focus of the methods is on the use of crystallographic orientation (texture), whether for reconstructing a 3D volume from EBSD serial sections, or for generating representative microstructures with orientations assigned for each grain. This 2nd session includes invited lectures on relevant topics and hands-on exercises on provided computers to explore the novelties offered by the last version of Dream3D* (Version 6**).
